Matériaupôle is Paris Region’s cluster for developing innovative materials and related processes. Since its creation in 2009, it has revolutionized the landscape of materials science and innovative processes, fostering a vibrant ecosystem that bridges the gap between research, industry, and education. Matériaupôle Chérioux is the Matériaupôle’s newly opened business center. It contributes to the Paris Region’s ecosystem for innovation and its involvement in the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Matériaupôle’s Impact in Paris Region
Matériaupôle cluster gathers more than 80 members, encompassing a diverse range of small businesses, startups, large corporations, research centers, and universities. Recently set-up in Matériaupôle Chérioux business center, Moleaer is a US company which develops industrial scale nanobubble technology. This innovation benefits various application fields: Water treatment, sustainable food production, and recovery of natural resources without the use of chemicals.
The cluster plays a critical role in developing the materials industry in the Paris Region. It positions itself as a multidisciplinary hub of expertise in “materials and use cases”. Innovative projects are supported by the cluster operational team. Collaboration between members is also encouraged.
A Pioneering Initiative
The business center is fitted with a fully equipped Fablab including 3D printers and laser cutting machines.
Matériaupôle’s Chérioux is located in Vitry-sur-Seine, 15mn away from Paris south ring, within the Grand Orly Seine Bièvre territory, The business center project has been supported by significant partners such as the European Union.
Matériaupôle’s office and business center are very close to the Metro Line 7. It is also directly connected with Orly Airport, either by road or the Metro line 14 opening in 2024. Matériaupôle’s campus site is close to educational and research institutions like SUP’BIOTECH, clusters like Polymeris for polymer materials, and research labs such as LISSI lab for robotics and ICPME lab for chemistry. This ecosystem creates opportunities for R&D projects and hiring talents.
